As you can see, I am using my blog for the time being while I create my InnCredible new website….WordPress, here I come. I want to create an clear and InnCredible homepage but am not sure where to start. Or quite frankly what the difference is between a homepage and a landing page…so confused.

Thank you for this. I have a pretty fun About page, but I’m not moving people to action. This is the nudge to get me to change it, along the lines of where my recent marketing work is taking me.

I’ve always been too concerned, I think, with not wanting to seem like I’m telling people what to do, being bossy, etc.

But now I want to say out loud that my experience and training “has prepared me exquisitely to help women 40-55 who want to eat more nutritionally in their busy schedules, to dedicate themselves to make changes so they can have more time, energy, and vibrancy every day of their lives.”

So my About page needs to reflect that! And not just, “here’s my sweet potato foods, they’re delicious, hope you like them.”

My business is eventually to be about child protection talks to parents and secondly pride and survival for adult survivors of abuse and then thirdly maybe children as well. I would like to blow minds around what is possible but it isn’t easy to lightly deal with this stuff cos it is scarey for some + has been painful for others and may still be at times. Bottom line I want “strong”, “united” and “change” to be key words.

I’ve actually found that I sneak in quiet & down time during the holidays as well… I love a good hubbub and family gathering, but get so hungry for rest, reflection, and quiet mid-winter. That’s the whole trick, isn’t it? The best thing is to have ONE site that’s very specific to the work you do. Many business owners try to squeak around this rule by creating a “kitchen sink” website (“I coach and I create manadalas and I teach yoga)… but it ends up confusing the rest of us, who just want to know what you do, who you do it for, and the results you get us. Good luck–and thanks for leaving a note!

While my new website isn’t “perfect” it is a better reflection of the direction I am emphasizing–outdoor fitness. I still have my original website up, and still send people there sometimes, but sometimes I’m not sure which one is most appropriate. ARGHHH!!!
